An ancient colossus carrying a silenced monastery bell, binding stone and metal into one body with ironwood roots.

At 96 cm tall, Tharok is built around a metal spine with mineral-filled resin, ABS armor shells and real chain. The chest core uses translucent amber parts, while ironroot texture, oxidized plates and the ruined monastery base receive layered hand painting.

The Ironroot Forest

Ironwood trees west of Eryndor absorbed stone and ore as they grew. Craftsmen never cut them, drying storm-fallen branches for centuries before using them to support towers. Tharok’s first body was woven from those roots. Mineral stones placed inside began to move when heated. His first purpose was not war, but holding the arches beneath the monastery’s three great bells.

The Bellmakers

Tharok learned speech from bellmakers. He could not repeat words, but stored their vibrations inside his chest core. The craftsmen gave him a name through three short strikes. Over time he distinguished ceremony, warning and funeral songs. Before the doors opened, he already knew which loss had gathered the people by the pattern of footsteps moving through the floor.

The Silenced Bell

During the war, the palace ordered the western monastery bells silenced because their voices guided refugees. Soldiers burned the towers. Tharok held the arches but could not save the building with the bellmakers still inside. As the final bell fell, he caught it with a chain. Its surface cracked and never sounded again. He has not removed it from his wrist since.

The Furnace Core

The tower fire entered Tharok’s chest and turned the mineral core amber. Rather than feeding rage, it preserved the hammer rhythms of the craftsmen. When he stands still, faint metal patterns can be heard within him. Morveth sensed them across many miles underground. The first conversation between the two ancient beings passed not through words, but measured strikes traveling through stone.

The Final Strike

Tharok carries the silent bell toward the Ashen Peaks. If the Last Flame dies completely, he will strike it once with his own furnace core. The bellmakers believed such a sound would reach every memory held in stone and metal. The blow may shatter Tharok, yet he continues. Some sounds are worth carrying for a century so they can be heard once.
